Sock Buns(:

Hi! So today I'm doing a quick post on sock buns! The one in my picture below is actually using a sock because my hair is so short. But I do have one of those hair donuts that is like the netting stuff. It's just too fat for my hair to fit around right now :/ So here is how my hair looked.

As you can see I have a little bit of volume and it's a little messy. That is the way I like mine but some people like theirs perfect and slicked back. Ok so if you are going for mine this is what you need.

-Hairspray (I actually used my Big Sexy Hairspray instead)
-Bobby Pins
- a Hair Tie (not pictured sorry!)
-Shine Spray (optional)
-Volumizing Powder (mine is the Matrix Design Pulse Mega Dust)
-Comb

So I started this out with day old hair. I added some dry shampoo so my hair wouldn't look oily and to give my hair some texture. The dry shampoo isn't a must though because the volumizing powder does wonders. Now to pump up the volume I sprinkled the Mega Dust through out my hair. I mostly concentrated it in the front where I wanted the volume. I then worked it in with my fingers and you should notice a difference in the amount of volume you have. Next I took my comb and smoothed the underside of my hair while I used my fingers for the sides and top. I put my hair in a ponytail where ever you want your bun at. Here is the point where you can adjust the volume.  You can tighten the ponytail for less volume or take the skinny end of your comb and tug at it a little to get more. Also maybe add some more powder if your want more volume. Next I took my sock at the end of my ponytail and rolled it down like the usual sock bun till you get to the base of the ponytail. Next just tuck in any loose ends with bobby pins and help secure your bun. Because I have short layers they were sticking out like crazy which means I used a lot of hairspray to make them lay down. Once you feel like everything is secure hairspray away. I spray the sides and underneath since I have lots of little baby hairs and then the actually bun. If you don't care if you have little hairs that pop out of the bun I would either skip the hairspray or use a light hold hairspray. It gives it a more relaxed look but in my case I need the hair to cover my sock. Lastly I spray some shine spray to obviously add a little shine and make it just a little prettier.

For option two the more perfect slicked back bun. I would skip the volumizing powder and add some oil or wax. The oil is great because it adds shine and helps slick the hair back but don't use too much. So for this I don't have a picture :( but with your hair down apply oil to your hair concentrating this on the front pieces of hair that you will see the most when your hair is slicked back. Next take a comb or I actually like to use my boar bristle teasing brush. Looks like this.
I feel like this really helps me get my hair slicked back and even. So once you have slicked back to your preferences you can use your ponytail holder/hair tie. You can use oil again if you want to apply more or add shine. You could also use a wax or pomade which will help slick back baby hairs and you can find ones that have good hold and add shine (the Aveda men's pomade is great). Also if you want that slicked back bun you can tighten your ponytail to make sure it is nice and secure. Next roll your sock down to the base of your ponytail. Tuck in any loose ends with bobby pins and help secure your bun. Once you feel like everything is secure you can hairspray to make sure everything stays in place. Again you can use a shine spray to add some beautiful shine if you want to. And you are finished! I know this was kind of a little post but I hope you guys liked it. Thank you for reading!

Neutral Eye With Olive Green Tutorial

Hi! I like this look because it's neutral with a pop of green. Ugh I just love this look! It is mostly drugstore too. I hope you like this!

I mostly used the Revlon Quad in Adventurous for this look. I used a mix of UD Dope and the lightest color in the quad on most of my lid. I used Dope to tone down the other color a little. On the last 1/3 of my lid I used the bronze color out of the quad. Then I blended between the two colors with a fluffy blending brush to create a gradient effect.Next I applied a mix of UD Buck and the darkest color in the quad to my crease and outer v. I thought the darkest color might just be a little too dark so I combined it with Buck.

I used the lightest color in the quad for my inner corner and brow highlight. It's so pretty for a highlight color. Then I applied UD 24/7 pencil to my upper and lower waterline and lashline.

Now using the olive green color in quad I smudged this just under Zero on my lower lashline. I also smudged it along my upper lashline right where Zero and my lid color meet. I stayed away from the inner corner of my eye to keep it light and bright. You could also use UD Stash for the olive green color. And lastly for the eyes I applied two coats of my Diorshow OverCurl Iconic mascara. And the eyes are done!

For the rest of my face I have my L'Oreal Lumi Foundation mixed with my Revlon ColorStay Whipped. I contoured a little with my Elf bronzer and I used the Elf blush in the duo on my cheeks. Today I also used my Ulta Double Duty Concealer. I actually set it with MAC Yogurt eyeshadow. So if you notice a light pink brightening effect under my eyes that is what it is. I also used my Nars Copacabana Illuminator on the top of my cheekbones, down the center of my nose, and my cupids bow (the typical places you apply highlighter). I also applied some of Yogurt on top of that to set it but make sure it still has that glow. After wards I set everything with my Elf HD Powder. Lastly for my lips I used MAC Angel with NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee on top. And this is the finished look!

I love this look because it is so light and pretty but has that pop of olive green. I hope you guy really like this! Also have a safe and happy Halloween tomorrow! Thanks for reading!

Empties and Project Pan Update

Hi! I thought I would do an empties post to show what I've used up and do an update on Project Pan. I actually have used up some stuff in a week. Some of this stuff is project pan and some of it is just empties.

I decided to start with my Project Pan stuff that I finished first. My first item I finished my Bath and Body Works Midnight Pomegranate Body Butter.I probably will not repurchase this because since I've started to reuse it I've noticed it really sits on top of your skin. My skin feels slimy for hours after I apply this :(

Next I finished my Clinique Moisturizing Gel. I like this but I think I will try something else because I don't think it moisturises my skin as well as other products.

Next are just some empties I have used up. First is this tiny stub of my UD 24/7 Zero eyeliner pencil.

Next is these Shiseido samples. The first one is the Bio Performance Super Corrective Serum. I liked this I just wished it would have lasted a little longer so I could find out if I like it enough to buy it. Next is the Bio Performance Super Corrective Eye Cream. This lasted longer and I feel like I didn't see too much of a difference.

Next are just an update of the rest of my Project Pan items. For my UD Naked BB Cream I feel like this should be empty any day now. I will just have to finish up the sample then. I use it every time I wear makeup but it's not gone yet. Out of my mascaras I use them all the time but none of them show any signs of being done. My Rimmel brow pencil is still the same stub but I use it every time I wear makeup so I feel like that will be in my next empties post. I have used my Tarte primers a hand full of times but the eye primer the most. I think the pore face primer is probably almost done. The UD Binge liner I used once I'm trying to use it more but it won't even show up on my waterline so I don't have much use for it. My Hue lipstick could have easily been in this empties post however I have been saving it for special occasions only lol. I'm trying to make it last. My Lumi Foundation is doing well. I don't remember exactly were it was when I started but this is where it is now.

It's just above the word sunscreen. So it's about half gone I would say. I hoping to finish it exactly by the time this Project Pan is over. Next out of the 3 setting powders I finished the CoverGirl one and unfortunately I didn't save it for this post. But it is finally gone and the elf one is next. I'm saving my Cover FX powder for last since it is my favorite. I have used MAC Angel a few times and MAC Creme Cup once but not much of a difference in how they looked when this started. I think I've used my Big Sexy Hairspray once so not much progress on that. I have been using my Bedhead SuperStar Spray after every shower. I think that should be done soon. My Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner is coming along. I've managed to stick out using it and I think that should be gone before or right around the time this project is over. Next my elf blush and bronzer duo I have used a few times the bronzer more than the blush however they still look the same. My Buxom Princess gloss I have used maybe once or twice. This is what it looks like.

So it's about half gone. I'm hoping for a dramatic difference next time I do an update. I have not touched my Sephora pencils. Since I already have so many eye primers and bases I haven't been reaching for these so I'm hoping to actually use them before my next update. They are going to be hard for me to get rid of. I have used my Nars Copacabana Illuminator a few times and so far that is going well. I'm thinking it will be in my next empties update. I have used my MAC Yogurt eyeshadow quite a few times for different things (one time to brighten up my under eye area which worked amazingly) but it does not look like I have made a dent :(. I have used my Pureology Silk Bodifier once but I think I will use it more once my Bedhead Spray is gone. My Avon Bond Girl perfume I've made a huge dent in it. This is how much I have left.

So only a few more uses and that will be gone! As for that random (Surface?) hairspray I have not touched it. I may just throw it away. I seriously can not stand the smell and it was a free sample. It was just a pretty good size sample. We'll see where that goes in the following weeks. I did use my Bare Minerals eyeshadow set a few times but I feel like I am no closer to actually finishing one of these eyeshadows. I haven't touched the Smashbox Burlesque set at all. It got forgotten about as it has many times :/. I think the only reason my Elf HD powder isn't gone is because I have been using my Bare Mineral Touch Up Veil. I thought I hit pan just a tiny bit but it was just a sparkle. Since it was pretty much brand new I've been using it like crazy. And lastly my Stila lip gloss trio. Did I mention how much I HATE these! I twist and then nothing comes out and then BOOM! All of a sudden a huge glob of lip gloss comes out and it's super sticky and thick feeling on my lips. I have used these a considerable amount besides the light pink one. I think the peach one will be gone first. And lastly the big question..... DID I CHEAT? I guess I'm not sure how to answer. My Vice 2 Palette was a gift from my boyfriend but I also grabbed an EOS lip balm before we checked out and that was not really a planned gift. Otherwise I did purchase a travel size Joico K-Pak mask but that was a hair emergency. My hair got really bad after my birthday and the ends were AWFUL so I did purchase that. But as for any actual makeup products and hair styling products I did not purchase anything. So I'm at 2 out of 20 products. Not too bad for a week. I'm hoping to do a month update later in November. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed this update and I wish I had more empties to show you. Thank you for reading!

Quick Colorful Fun Makeup

Hi! Today's tutorial is good for someone starting out with more colorful eyeshadows or starting out in makeup in general. It's using my new Ulta Deep Sea eyeshadow.

First I started this out the way I start most of my tutorials and I applied UD Naked into my crease.

Next I applied my Ulta eyeshadow in Deep Sea all over my lid.

Next I combined a few steps since I was kind of just playing around with this. I applied UD Tease into my crease and outer v to make it a little darker. I also took a very small amount of my bare minerals eyeshadow in Coffee Bean and concentrated this into my outer v. I also applied some along my lower lashine but very lightly. I used MAC Glamour Light as my inner corner and brow highlight. Lastly I applied my Almay eyeliner in Topaz and 2 coats of my Sephora Atomic Volume Mascara.

For the rest of my face I used my L'Oreal Lumi Foudation. By the way I have been using my UD Naked BB Cream as my face primer. I filled in my brows with my Rimmel brow pencil. I applied my elf blush from the duo lightly onto my cheeks. And for my lips I used MAC Angel.

It's a very light look and isn't a super bold look but it still had a punch of color. Also off topic but do you guys notice how shiny and soft my hair looks? That's the Living Proof Primer. I have lots of upcoming posts planned so keep an eye out for them. Thank you for reading!

Peacock Vice 2 Palette Tutorial

Hi! I got my Vice 2 palette today and I am obsessed! So I'm going to kind of jump right into this.

For my foundation I'm wearing my Revlon ColorStay Whipped. Then I applied my UD Primer Potion. For the first shadow I applied Madness on the inner 1/3 of my lid like so.

Next I applied Damaged to the middle of my lid.

Next I applied a mix of Prank and Loaded which is from the Smoked palette to the outer 1/3 of my lid.

I then took a small amount of Prank and started to work it into my crease. Then I used Rewind and blended.

To finish up the eyes I applied Habit as my brow highlight and Dope as my inner corner highlight. I used a angled eyeliner brush and applied Poison to my lower lashline. Lastly I applied two coats of Benefit They're Real Mascara.

For the rest of my face I contoured a little bit with my Elf bronzer and I used MAC Well Dressed blush. I also used a little bit of my Nars Illuminator on the tops of my cheekbones to add some highlight. Lastly for my lips I just applied my NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee. And this is the finished look!

The pictures can't even capture how pretty this look is. It goes from blue to green to a darker blue green. It's so pretty. I thought about doing a review for this palette but I don't think I'm going to since so many other people have. But watch for more tutorials coming up especially with this palette! Hope you like this! Thank you for reading!

MAC Warm Palette Tutorial

Hi! Today I'm doing a tutorial of a look I was kind of nervous about. Sometimes it comes out amazing, other times I'm wondering why it doesn't look quite the same. Overall I love the colors of this palette and they create a beautiful look. This is how the palette looks.
Starting from the left the colors are Glamour Light, Retrospeck, Honesty, Cognac (upper), and Sketch (lower).
Starting out I applied Retrospeck to the inner half of my lid and Cognac to the outer and blended them so it wasn't a harsh line between the two.

Next I applied one color out of the palette I used the medium brown color out of my Anastasia palette or you could use UD Buck or something similar instead. I blended this color into my crease.

Next I applied Sketch into my crease and outer v. I also applied it along my lower lashline.

Lastly for the eyes I applied Glamour Check as my inner corner highlight and as my brow bone highlight. I applied my UD Perversion Pencil and then I took a pencil brush with Sketch and went over the Perversion liner just to add a little of that red tone. Lastly I applied one coat of my L'Oreal Volminous Million Lashes mascara and one coat of my Sephora Atomic Volume mascara. And the eyes are done.

For the rest of the face I applied my L'Oreal Lumi Foundation. I also contoured a little with my elf bronzer and then I applied MAC blush in Breath Of Plum. I also tried out my new Watts Up highlighter from Benefit but I'm not sure if you can really see it. Lastly I applied my Odyssey lipstick which still did not come out in pictures.

I really like this look especially for fall and I hope you guys like it too. I was hoping to have like 3 posts up for you right now but there is something wrong with my computer. I'm posting this from my phone. I'm going to try to some how get my Birthday FOTD up tomorrow and maybe another post. Also next week I think I might do a project pan update because I have finished a few things (yay!). Thank you for reading!
