Summer Haul!!!

Hi again! It has been awhile time since my last post but I'm back. Today's post is a haul but I have a hair tutorial and face of the day coming up too. Oh and several reviews! Well let's get started with the haul!
So let's start with the hair products I got. I decided to try the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. I've really been wanting beachy waves this summer. This will be in my hair tutorial coming up. I also got the Paul Mitchell Forever Blonde Set. I'm planning on going blonde soon and love what this does for damage and just keeping my hair all around healthy. Now on to my favorite part: makeup! I decided I wanted to try some more foundations. So I got the Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation. I got it in the color 200 Nude because I have been getting tanner this summer.
I've heard that this foundation is really good in the summer time. I wouldn't say waterproof but it sounds like it is at least sweatproof. I'm planning to do a review on this eventually. For my next foundation I got the Tarte Amazion Clay Foundation.
I have only wore this foundation twice but I will say this foundation is amazing and can't wait to do a review. I bought the color Light. I bought the L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara as well. I've used this a few times and I like it but wouldn't say this is too special. Also bought a new favorite eyeliner. I own a few Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencils but I decided to get Sabbath because I really wanted like a navy blue eyeliner.
I tried to do a swatch but the picture wouldn't come out. But this is a new favorite. It is sooooooooooo pigmented and creamy! I'm going to try to do a tutorial with it soon. Now on to lip products! I always get sucked in to those products that Sephora has around the register! And this was no exception!
It has the colors freestyle, harmony, and ballad. I've only tried the darker pink one on the right but I like these so far. Next I knew I wanted some coral lip product. I decided to try a gloss. So I bought the b.e. Buxom lip gloss in Debbie.
On the box it Sheer which made me nervous. However I totally disagree! I think this gloss is pretty pigmented. I love it so far! And now onto the the clothes and accessories. First I bought a new swimsuit. You can see it in the picture above. I decided to try this Liz Claiborne retro styled suit. It seriously is so cute and perfect for someone like me who isn't totally comfortable with their body. Next I bought this dolman style peachy striped top for Forever 21. I love it because it is light and flowy. I love the color as well.
I also got this tank top at Forever 21. The front is plain black but the back is this sheer chevron print.
I think it will be great later this summer if it ever quits raining. Next I decided to get this baggy cardigan.
I really love cardigans like this. They just feel so comfy. And the last thing I got at Forever 21 was this scarf.
It's a really light scarf but I love the navy stripes. I don't have much in my closet to wear with this so I'm going to have to get something to wear. Actually I forgot I got 2 necklaces at Forever 21. My other gold key necklace broke :( so I needed another. I fell in love with the flower necklace as I was looking around the jewelry section. Unfortunately it has started to tarnish already though.

Next I got this top from JcPenney but honestly you can get this shirt ANYWHERE. Every store has some version of this shirt.
It is the typical sheer button up with some sort of cut out. The back of this shirt has a small cute cutout. I've really been liking olive green lately so I decided to go ahead and get this. The next set of clothes is from Maurices. I bought this tank top to wear with the cardigan I got from Forever 21. But it is really versatile.
It has bronze studs on the front but it is so comfy. This next piece is an absolute favorite of mine. It may look black but it is a really dark olive color.
This next tank top I got because I like the sequin pocket and it's a pretty good basic.
I really have been wanting a ruffle tank top so I got this one in black. Another good basic that is a little jazzed up.
And the last clothing piece I got was this and it is my favorite.
Don't worry it's faux leather. It's so comfy and edgy. I love it! Lastly I got some shoes at JcPenney's. This first pair was mostly for work. I think the studs and some interesting detailing.
Next I wanted some cute sandals for summer. I actually haven't worn these yet.
Lastly I wanted some flip flops that weren't the typical rubber flip flops. These you can tell a little more well loved already.
And very lastly I got this necklace at Maurices. It actually was suppose to be gold chain instead of silver but I decided to keep it anyways.

I'm thinking I'm going to wear this with my new jacket.(:

Anyways this is the end of my haul and I hope I can do some outfit of the day posts soon using this stuff. Also I have some reviews to get up so I will try to get some of those up soon. Thank you for reading!(:

This is why I fill in my eyebrows...

Hi so today I'm doing a post about my eyebrows. First get ready for a weird picture. Ok here we go.

Sorry I wasn't completely finished with my makeup but you can see the difference in filling in my eyebrows. It makes a huge difference for me because my brows are so blonde. So I'm going to go over my brow routine and some of my favorite brow products.
So I have two brow pencils I really like but they are very different. The first is the MAC Veluxe Brow Pencil in Deep Brunette. I use this mostly when my hair is darker. This pencil is kind of powdery but it makes your brows look natural. I also love that the other end is like a little mascara wand to comb your hairs into place. They have a few shades. It bugs me that they don't have a blonde shade. The only "blonde" shade they have is Strawberry Blonde which I don't know much about. On to my next favorite brow pencil which is the Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel. This is really cheap and I would say it is a more waxy pencil type. I happened to grab this when I was blonde last summer and I ended up loving it. It works with my hair being the red brown color it is now and it works when my hair is blonde. It has a comb on the end but it's not really useful. There is a 3rd brow pencil that I really liked but I can never find the brunette/brown shade but the Maybelline Define-a-Brow pencil is amazing. The only thing I don't like is it is a twist up pencil so you can't see how much product is left. I have heard several people say this pencil is comparable to the MAC regular eye brow pencil for half the price. It is one of my favorites but it is really hard to find anymore except the blonde shade so I'm wondering if they are discontinuing it? That's how I ended up with the Veluxe Pencil because I couldn't find this one. anyways so with my current hair color I first apply the Rimmel pencil in Hazel then to make it a little darker I add a little bit of the Veluxe pencil. Then I take the brush and comb my hair into place and blend the 2 colors together. It lasts pretty well on it's own but sometime I set it with a Revlon clear brow gel. And that is it for my brow routine! It's sounds pretty quick but actually filling in your brows can take a little bit. Thank you for reading!

Growing Out A Bob:7 Month Update

Hi! Ugh this is probably why my hair is not so much longer. But I got my hair cut again! I had a hair coloring issue and my ends were very damaged. A girl at work had been suggesting that she cut my hair so I let her and I do agree it is better for my hair. I like the style a little better too.

I'm still not happy with my hair or really the way I look but it's one of those bad self esteem days for me. I like the bangs a lot better and the layers are better too. It feels like she didn't take much off the length which is good. This is from my 6 month update.

So I'm hoping the next 2 months are good to me and my hair grows a lot lol. Nothing has really changed form my 6 month update with the products I'm using and what not. This was more an update that I got it cut again which is another slight set back in growing it out. If you can I recommend waiting longer than 2 months between cuts if you are growing it out. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I will post again if something happens with the growing out process.

Morocann Oil VS. Macadamia Oil

Hi long time no post! There has been a lot going on but I hope to post a tutorial soon. Today I'm comparing Moroccan oil versus Macadamia oil. This is just the oil not the masks, shampoos, or any of the other products. This is a picture of each of them.

I have to say I like the Moroccan oil packaging better. I just like the colors better but the Macadamia oil is pretty too. Mine are 2 smaller bottles so it doesn't have the pump but I image the pump would make it way more convenient. Both are obviously oils have the same texture and I would say they both don't weigh my hair down as long as you don't apply too much. One difference is Moroccan oil is yellow and Macadamia is clear. It might be yellow but I have always used a very small amount since my hair is shorter than when I was using Moroccan oil everyday so I need less. They both smell really nice but I say I have to prefer the Moroccan oil one more. It smells more "beachy" to me. I just love the smell and Macadamia I like the smell but don't love it. On to the actual product. I first tried Moroccan oil when my hair was in bad shape. It helps my hair look better but I feel like it never actually did anything for my hair. Now looking at the packaging Macadamia's says healing oil treatment where as Moroccan's says oil treatment. Using both of these Macadamia wins hands down in helping heal my hair. Since they say treatment some nights I will notice the ends of my hair seem super dry and I'm going to wash my hair the next day so I apply a lot of oil to my ends and leave it in over night. By morning with the Moroccan oil my hair felt dry on the ends again. By morning with the Macadamia my hair doesn't feel as oily as last night but more moisturized. You can apply these treatments in wet or dry hair. Another claim is the oil helps speed up drying time. And Moroccan oil wins hands down here. I actually noticed a difference when using the Moroccan but I didn't notice much of a difference with Macadamia. However the both make your hair smell amazing, look and feel super soft and smooth, and add some shine. So bottom line who wins? In my book Macadamia has more of what I need right now. I do like Moroccan oil and I will probably use it when my hair is in better shape but the Macadamia is more moisturizing which my hair needs. Macadamia has a slight lead over Moroccan. I hope this was helpful and thank you for reading!
