CoverGirl Bombshell Mascara Tutorial

Hi! Long time no post but life's been crazy like usually. I am back today though with a review! I'm reviewing the CoverGirl Bombshell mascara. I was pretty intrigued by this product because I see Kandee Johnson use it quite frequently. And well Kandee Johnson is fabulous so of course I was excited to try it. It sells for around $10 (at Ulta I noticed it was almost $12 and Walmart it was $9) and it has 4 shades. Mine is just the Black but there is Very Black, Black Brown, and Brown. Here is just a general picture of the packaging.

Overall I think the packaging is fine. I like the color but it is bulky. The mascara tube is really wide. I'm not sure that it is totally necessary. It just feels too bulky. Another thing you can tell from this is that it is a double ended. So the concept from what I've read is side 1 is the original Lash Blast formula. It's suppose to give you all your volume. Next you apply side 2 which is like a really black intense top coat. It's suppose to intensify the color and give it longer staying power. I'm not a fan of the original Lash Blast formula so I wasn't really sure how I would feel about this. My original hopes were side 1 would be your volume and side 2 would give you your length. The original Lash Blast makes my lashes look short and stumpy so I hoped this mascara would help that problem. But after reading the packaging I wasn't feeling very hopeful. So here is a picture of side 1.

Not really sure how I would describe my lashes. Sure they have volume but not much else. I also thought they looked plenty black. Now here is a the final look after applying side 2.

I feel like it is definitely a more dramatic look. My lashes are way darker. It does add a tiny bit more length but more of the drama comes from the color intensity. So overall application was fine but again the packaging was a bit bulky so it was slightly annoying. I only applied side 2 to the my bottom lashes. How did this wear? It wears really well all day. No flaking or anything. But one of my main issues with this mascara comes from side 2. I was on my way to work one of the times I was testing this mascara out and I blinked and my lashes stuck together pretty bad. Enough that I had to slightly separate my bottom and top lashes. For some reason this mascara (particularly side 2) is really sticky. Eventually it goes away but I think it's just it takes a long time to dry and once it dries the sticky-ness goes away. At the end of the day the mascara still looks great and is really holding up. But removing it is a task. I've used makeup remover wipes and hopped in the shower and used face wash. Either way it takes a lot of work to get this mascara off. Which I guess is great if you really have trouble getting mascara to last on you. So my overall opinion is this mascara is ok. Would I repurchase it? Maybe if I really needed a mascara and this was the best option. Overall I think I would skip it. If you have really long lashes and want a really black dramatic effect then definitely try it. But I personally don't have long lashes so I need something that's going to add some serious length. The negatives aren't enough to make me not buy it. I could deal with it being hard to remove especially if it lasts so long. And I could deal with it being slightly sticky if it added some more length. Again it's an ok mascara and if you like the original Lash Blast I think maybe you should check it. And that concludes my review of this or I'll keep rambling about it. Definitely have some more video ideas coming up just not sure when I can film them and such. But I will definitely make a post here when I post a video(; I hope you enjoyed this review and expect more coming soon!

Glowy Neutral Tutorial

Hi! Today's tutorial has that perfect summer glow to it. It's really pretty. I wore it for my cousins graduation ceremony and the others graduation party. Let's get started!

So first I applied UD Naked with a bit of UD Buck into my crease like always.(: Next I applied Stila Kitten on the inner 2/3 of the lid. On the outer 1/3 I applied Ulta eyeshadow in Truffle which is just a little deeper in color. I made sure the two blend where they meet.

Next I applied Ulta eyeshadow in After Hours into my crease and outer v.

Next I applied this really light Relvon eyeshadow that like white but it has a gold sheen to it. I applied that on my inner corners. For my lower lashline I applied After Hours again with a bit of UD Half Baked as a blend color between After Hours and the Relvon eyeshadow on my lower lashline.

Lastly to finish the eyes I applied UD Foxy as my brow highlight. I used my UD Demolition eyeliner on my upper lashline and on my bottom lashline I used my Almay eyeliner in Topaz. For my mascara I used my Benefit They're Real mascara.

For the rest of my face I used my Revlon ColorStay in Buff. For concealer I used my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind. I used my NYX Brow Powder Duo in Blonde for my brows. They need to be done again which feels like I just did them. Anyways I used my NYX blush in Apricot. For my lips I used my NYX Butter Gloss in Crème Brulee.

And that is the finished look! I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. I hope to have more stuff up soon. I think my computer is done. I think it's too broke to fix which really sucks. Thank you for reading!

Project Pan #8 Empties and Regular Empties!

Hi! So here is a picture of my empties that goes with the video. I completely forgot about the empties which is the most exciting part! Let's start with the regular empties and then we'll get into the Project Pan empties.

First up I finished these Tigi Catwalk Your Highness Shampoo and Conditioner. This to me is a really unique shampoo and conditioner because it is volumizing but also moisturizing! Which usually its one or the other. Love this and would repurchase when my hair is in better condition!

I finished another Ulta Beauty Smoothie. This one is in Merry Macaroon. This one had a really weird unique smell.

Next I finished my Neutrogena Hydrating Makeup Remover Wipes. These and the purple ones are my favorites!

I finished this little Macadamia Hair Oil. I do have a post comparing it and Moroccan Oil.

I have been really into leave-in conditioners so it's no surprise I finished one. This is the Paul Mitchell Forever Blonde Leave-In Spray. This is ok I think it adds protein to your hair but no moisture.

I finished this sample of Olay Micro Sculpting Cream Moisturizer. This was ok. I only got one use out of it so you can't notice results.

Another Olay product I finished this month was the Olay Fresh Effects Shine, Shine, Go Away Face Wash. I like this because it smells like lilac to me. I didn't notice a difference in the amount of shine I had though.

Now on for the Project Pan empties! I finished a lot more than I expected and I'm super happy with it! First is this Philosophy Miracle Worker Eye Cream. I did not like this. When it would slightly mix with some moisturizers it would BURN! Also I just never noticed any results.

Next I finished my Pur Minerals Soothing Gentle Cleanser and my Soak It Up Moisturizer. This face wash I think would be good if you don't really have any skin concerns but your skin is sensitive. The moisturizer I think would be really good for dry skin or oily skin during the winter. It is super moisturizing.

I also used up this Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara as much as possible. I've only been using this for like 3 months and it just seems like there is no product left. It is already a more dry formula so I feel like it would dry out fast.

I told you guys I would finish this Aveda Pure Abundance Spray. It feels good to confidently know you are going to finish this product.

I finished another leave-in conditioner. This one is the Pureology Color Fanatic Spray. It supposedly has 21 different benefits to it.

Next I finished my Stila Kitten Eyeshadow. I already purchased another one. If you don't own this eyeshadow you need to. It's perfect!

Lastly this one isn't really an empty exactly. It is my Smashbox Lip Gloss Duo in Peep Show. I'm having trouble getting product out of both sides also it smells bad so I'm tossing it.

Alright so I finished 8 Project Pan items which is about what my goal was. I'm hoping for another 8-10 items next month. Also hopefully I can remember my empties in my next video update! I have some tutorials coming up and also more videos! I know tomorrow or Friday I'm posting my May Favorites video. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I'll have more stuff up soon. Thanks for reading!

Exciting News(:

Hi! I had a quick little exciting announcement I wanted to make. So I officially just finished filming a youtube video to go up soon! My youtube channel is the same as my blog name if you were wondering. I am working on editing it and my boyfriend is working on it too because honestly I'm no good at this stuff. The editing software I'm using on this computer is a bit tricky so we will have it up within the next couple of days I hope. But I will definitely share with you when it is up(:
