Nails Of The Week 3/30-4/5

Hi! I took a little break from doing these just to give my nails a break. But I'm back and this weeks nails of week is OPI Pink Friday.

The picture looks a little weird. I'm not sure why. It looked fine when I took it. But the color is like a barbie pink which makes sense because this was a part of the Nicki Minaj collection. While I think this is a great color for spring I will actually being tossing this one. I'm not a fan of it on myself so I'm going to give it to my cousin and maybe she'll like it. It's only a small OPI polish so I don't feel so guilty for not using more of it. I will have another one up next week so watch for that.(: Thank you for reading!

Review: Tarte BB Primer Treatment

Hi! I thought I would share a review of the newest primer I have tried. First off this primer is great if you are doing the no paraben thing. It is the Tarte BB Primer Treatment.

This is the packaging. I like it except again I like to be able to see the product inside. However it is really easy to get the product out. As for the actually product I love it! This product claims to be a healthy treatment, 12 hr primer, buildable coverage, oil free moisturizer, pore minimizer, skin brightener, and a chemical-free sun protector. I agree with most. I have not used this a bunch of days in a row to notice anything from the healthy treatment. But it is a great primer or product on my own. When you apply it it feels very silky like most primers and it comes out sort of as a mousse. Now here is a picture of me wearing just this bb primer.

As you can see it cancelled out all the redness on my face and gave it a very even look. You could totally wear this on it's own. I would almost say it has medium coverage on it's own. It is buildable so if you have a bad zit or something this will add more coverage. Next is me after I applied my foundation and how it looks once all my makeup is finished.

It feels a little weird to use it as a primer because it feels like a foundation a little bit with the mousse texture. This can definitely enhance the coverage of any foundation. I used this under my Revlon Colorstay for this picture. I really can't think of any bad things to say about this bb primer. It also only has 3 shades which is a slight downside. I think it does pretty much everything it claims. I haven't really noticed too much of a skin brightening effect either so that could be a down side. Would I purchase this again? Yes definitely! I have been recommending this to everyone because I think it is so perfect for so many reasons. This is probably my holy grail primer. I love it and seriously you should get your hands on this stuff! Thank you for reading!

Hi...

Hi! I'm trying to publish a post but I'm having a problem with pictures so there may not be a post for today besides this. I'll post as soon as this problem is fixed and I have time. Next week is going to be a rough week because I work a ton so bare with me. I'm also trying to work on some tutorials since I don't have very up lately. So keep an eye out for new stuff(:

Review: Benefit Gimme Brow

Hi! I'm doing yet another review today! I do have more reviews coming up too. But today we are talking about the Benefit Gimme Brow. This is a picture of me wearing it(:
So first off packaging wise I like it. My only complaint for packaging is for $22 I feel like this is a bit small. It's about the size of a sample mascara. For example I used 100 points at Sephora to get a Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. They are the same size and one is a sample :/ But it is a brow product which usually last awhile. The product itself is amazing! It has a nice small wand for adding the product to your brow. I feel like I can actually shape my brows pretty easily with this. However at the beginning of one of my brows I don't have very many hairs and if there is no hairs for the product to cling to it doesn't fill it in very well. Also this only comes in two colors. I currently have the medium/deep. I feel like it is sort of cool toned. I wish there were more shades of this. I feel two just isn't enough. I mean what about all the red heads out there? I just feel like it would be an even better product with more shades. But since I am lucky this product does work for me I have to say it's amazing. The way I would describe this is your brows but better. It fills them in and but still looks natural. It gives them just the right amount of definition. I also love that this takes seconds to fill in my brows not minutes. So this is a fantastic for a person that doesn't like to spend a lot of time on their beauty routine or really good for anyone because we've all woken up late before.  Would I buy this again? Yes and I plan to once I run out. I think this is great product overall. It does have a few minor flaws from being perfect but it still a very amazing product. I hope you guys enjoyed this review and will try this product. Thank you for reading!

Update: I forgot to add the longevity of this product. This product lasts all day on a normal day. One problem I do have with this is it claims to be water resistant. One day at work I wiped my forehead and smudged this a little. It wasn't bad but I still feel like if a product is water resistant it shouldn't budge on a normal day without water. But overall this still lasts all day if left alone.

Growing Out A Bob: Haircut Update!

Hi! It's time for a haircut update! I just got my haircut by my best friend and I love it. My hair was in desperate need of a cut! It actually was in such a desperate need I cut 1 inch off. I also decided to move my part around some. So here are some pictures of my new cut(:

I also got some highlights. Cutting off an inch can either sound like a lot or not a lot depending on your own hair. It is a tiny set back but the ends of my hair are in better condition than before. I also have been trying to get more volume in my hair. So that is my update I will have another one up in 2 months(: Thanks for reading!

Review: Anastasia Dipbrow Pommade

Hi! At first I thought maybe this review was maybe a bit repetitive since this product is already so raved about. But I wouldn't say my review of it is raving. Today I am reviewing the Anastasia Dipbrow. I bought this myself because of all the raving reviews. Starting with packaging its a glass little jar. Overall I like the packaging. It's pretty and simple. However definitely make sure your cap is on tight so it doesn't dry out. For the actual product it's a lot like a gel liner. Maybe a little smoother or creamier. It is very pigmented! So my first time using this product I was no this is going back. I hate when I eyebrows looked "painted" and this gave mine that look. You really have to be careful how much product you get on your brush. I also recommend starting on the outer end of your brow so the most color is deposited there. It takes some work but you can sue this to fill in your brows and make them look nice. Here is a few pictures of me wearing it. I have the shade Chocolate.

It definitely looks nice in pictures. In person it looks pretty good too. I wouldn't describe this product as making your brows look natural. It is so pigmented it's kind of hard to get that natural look. It's possible but pretty hard to do. I also have heard numerous people say this product shortens the time it takes to do their brows. I have to disagree. It takes me just as long if not longer to fill in my brows with this. I know this is one of those products that maybe with practice it will get easier to use. Right now I think though that this isn't the easiest product to use or quickest. So my overall feelings of this product are kind of on the fence. I think if you like the "natural" look this product might not be for you. I think if you like a really defined brow shape this is good for that. I think it's a product you have to try out and kind form your own opinion about. Especially brows since everyone has different feelings about their brows. So if your curious maybe head to your local Ulta or Sephora and have an associate try it out on you or purchase it and play with it at home. I would at least check it out(: I hope this review was sort of helpful lol. Thank you for reading!

Pink and Purple Spring Tutorial

Hi! It's a dark gloomy day and I'm dreaming of spring. It's hard not to crave the warmer weather. I always liked pink and purple for spring so here is a tutorial inspired by that. I also apologize for using kind of a wide and random assortment of products.

Starting off I applied Sigma eyeshadow in Innocent to my crease.

Next I applied the brow bone color on the right side of the Wet n Wild Petal Pusher palette on my lid. It's like a light shimmery pink color.

Next I applied the eyelid color on the left side of the Wet n Wild Petal Pusher palette into my crease and outer v. I really blended it out but I tried to concentrate some in my outer v to make the color a little darker.

Next I applied UD Gravity along my lower lashline. I also applied a bit of UD Coax as I got closer to my inner corner. I also patted some on my lid to create a better blend between the lid color and crease color.

To finish the eyes I applied Sigma Oyster Sand to my inner corner and MAC Yogurt as my brow highlight. You could use a black liner but I decided to use UD Empire which is a dark purple. Then I applied two coats of my Benefit Bad Gal mascara.

For the rest of my face I used my Revlon ColorStay Foundation and Benefit Gimme Brow. My brows look bad today because I was in a hurry. I also contoured a little with my ELF Bronzer. For blush I used my MAC Well Dressed blush and for lips I used MAC Angel with Tarte Lip Gloss in New York Minute.

I hope you guys liked this tutorial. I love it(: Perfect for spring. I'm also proud of myself for using some Project Pan stuff in this tutorial. I am getting quite sick of this stuff lol. Thank you for reading!

My Makeup Mistakes!

Hi! So one be prepared to see an embarrassing photo of me today and secondly this post is inspired by emilynoel83's video of her top 5 makeup mistakes. I'm 22 so it's not like I've been wearing makeup a long time. But I started in about 6th grade with just lip gloss and it progressed from there. So a lot of these mistakes are ones I have made in late middle school and high school.
Starting with number one I think is something you've guys seen me do even here on my blog. So here is number one...
1. Wrong Foundation Shade- Especially in high school this was a problem. I was so fair and a lot of drugstore foundations were still way too dark for my skin. However on the other end of the spectrum I have wore foundation too light before. I remember for a friends birthday party I applied some sunless tanner/bronzer and the only foundation I had was too light. I thought I could make it work but looking back at the pictures I'm deeply embarrassed. Foundation shade is sooooooo important. My L'Oreal Lumi is dark so you may have noticed that around my blog but I only use it for tutorials.

2. Smokey Raccoon Eyes....During The Day- One of the first makeup looks I did was like a punk smokey eye. I was really into skate boarding and rock music so I needed the makeup to match lol. I still am sort of into that stuff but I dont' wear a smokey eye during the day usually. Also it used to be pretty raccoon looking.
3. No Eyebrows- I have super blonde eyebrows and when I was younger I didn't understand filling them in. I didn't realize the difference this could make.
4. No Mascara- I don't really understand this one. But for some reason I used to wear my dark smokey eye without mascara. This was only a sometimes thing but my dark shadows had so much fallout it would make my lashes dark. Of course it wouldn't last all day it would be obvious I wasn't wearing mascara. I don't know why I did this. I just can't understand it.
5. Bad Nude Lips- I used to blank out my lips with my foundation and then put a gloss on top that basically made them white. It just looked bad.

Alright because I love my readers and because I think it's good to make fun of yourself every once in awhile, here is what that hot mess looked like. I don't think it looked quite this bad back then but you get the idea lol. I recreated it for you(:

I mean I had a boyfriend and everything so it seriously must not have looked this bad lol. Let's take a second to compare this to how I do my makeup now.

So much better now especially with foundation that matches. I also want to say I really do believe in the "there are no rules to makeup" thing. If you want to wear a foundation shade that is darker than your skintone go ahead. Whatever is going to make you happy at the end of the day(: This is just a list of things that I personally thought of as mistakes for myself. And don't get me wrong sometimes I do wear a dark smokey eye during the day because that's the fun in makeup(: So I hope you guys enjoyed this post and had a laugh. Thanks for reading!

UD Naked 3 Tutorial #2

Hi! I thought I would share a look that is another favorite of mine from the palette. Let's go ahead and get started.

First I applied Mugshot to my lid.

Next I blended Nooner up and out of my crease. I like using this as blend between my brow highlight and my darker crease color. Then I applied Darkside into my crease and outer v.

Next I applied Blackheart into my outer v. I also applied Darkside along my lower lashline.

I applied Liar towards my inner corner and then Strange in my inner corner. I also applied Strange as my brow highlight.

To finish the eyes I applied my Essence Gel Liner to my upper lashline. I also applied UD 24/7 Pencil Liner in Smoke. I also applied my Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara. The eyes are finished!

For the rest of the face I applied Revlon Colorstay. I applied my NYX Blush Mauve and used my Anastasia Dipbrow for my brows. For my lips I applied my Fresh Sugar lip blam in Berry. And here is the finished look.

And that is the finished look! I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and watch for more posts soon! I will have more coming up. Thank you for reading!

Subtle Pin Up Tutorial

Hi! Long time no tutorial, right? Sorry it's just I'm excited about a lot of the new stuff I've been trying. I'm back today with a tutorial though. I decided to do a subtle pin up look. I personally love the pin up look. However if you're not used to wearing red lips it can be a surprise. Also the focus of this look is a drugstore product (bonus!). Let's get started!

Starting with the eye which is super easy. I applied a mix of MAC Naked Lunch and a tiny bit of MAC's Retrospeck on my lid and inner corner. Then I applied UD Tease into my crease and outer v. I also applied it along my lower lashline.

Next I applied MAC Glamour Light as my brow highlight. I also used my Essence Gel Liner and gave it a slight wing. I also used Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara (which you'll see in the next picture).

For the rest of the face I applied my Rimmel Stay Matte foundation. I contoured and applied my ELF Bronzer. I decided to skip blush and just go with bronzer. My brows are filled in with the Anastasia Dipbrow. On my lips I have Maybelline Color Sensation Vivid Lipstick in On Fire Red. I would suggest applying a lip liner but I couldn't find mine. And that is the finished look!

I hope you guys liked this tutorial. It's really easy but looks so pretty and classic. Thank you for reading!

Review: Maybelline Clean Express Eye Makeup Remover

Hi! I thought maybe I wouldn't do a review on this but I decided to go ahead since I've been doing lots of reviews. I bought this quite awhile ago. I do believe I have it in a haul somewhere on here. So I bought this because I didn't read the packaging. I was watching one of my favorite youtubers and she was doing a video on how to properly remove all of your makeup. She talked about taking a makeup remover gel and applying it to your face to remove your makeup. So I grabbed this not reading it.

It clearly says it's an eye makeup remover -_-  How I missed that I don't know. Anyways I will be reviewing this as a eye makeup remover but I thought I would share the funny story. So I apply some of this on my cotton round and then simply (gently) wipe off my eye makeup remover. This works really good at getting my eyeshadow off. However mascara is a different story. It takes a little more work to get my mascara off and sometimes it still doesn't quite get it all off. But one thing I do really like about this is it is VERY gentle around your eyes. It doesn't hurt or sting and it also being a gel is kinda cooling. So would I repurchase this? Probably not because I'm a huge fan of makeup remover wipes. But if for whatever reason I needed an eye makeup remover I would get this because I think it works ok at a decent price. If you are looking for a new eye makeup remover I would give this one a shot. I hope you guys enjoyed this review and thank you for reading!

PRIMERS, PRIMERS, AND MORE PRIMERS!

Hi! Today's post is a little different. I'm doing mini reviews of all the face primers I have tried. There is a lot so let's get started!

1. Sephora Anti-Shine Primer ($17 at Sephora). This primer was a weird consistency. I can't think of the words to explain it. It also had a weird rose smell. As for keeping away the shine I give it 2 out of 5. It wasn't the worst primer I ever tried but I feel like it didn't do much.

2. Bare Minerals Prime Time Primer ($23 at Sephora and Ulta). This primer claims to do it all and be good for all skin types. It's like a white lotion for your face which usually makes me think it is better for dry skin. It does claim to keep shine at bay. Out of 5 I give it a 1 because this broke my skin out so horribly bad. Like painful breakouts. As a primer I didn't see any difference in my foundation. It didn't make it last longer or look better.

3. Tarte Brightening Primer ($30 at Sephora and Ulta). It claims to give your skin a more radiant look and be hydrating. It comes out almost like a liquid illuminator. This primer definitely works. It makes your skin look naturally better. Out of 5 I give this a 4.

4. Tarte Poreless Primer ($30 at Sephora and Ulta). This is your typical silicone feeling primer. It claims to fill in pores and fine lines. I would have to say this does a good job and keeps my skin really matte. It makes your skin feel really soft and look almost perfect. Out of 5 I give this a 5. One of my favorite primers!

5. Urban Decay Pore Perfecting Complexion Primer ($31 at Sephora and Ulta). It has been awhile since I used this one. I do remember it was a similar silicone primer. I also remember it made a huge difference in my foundation. I'm giving this a 4 out of 5 because it has been awhile since I've tried this but I did really like it.

6. Benefit Porefessional ($31 at Sephora and Ulta). This primer I feel like is one of the more unique primers I have tried. When I got this I fully expected it to be the typical clear silicone primer. When it comes out though it is like skin tone colored. I would also say its not quite as smooth as the usual silicone primer. This one seems to sink into your skin better. However this didn't keep my face very matte. I give this a 4 out of 5.

7. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer ($36 at Spehora and Ulta). This primer was super raved about. This is your typical silicone primer. It claims to increase the longevity of your foundation and fill in pores and fine lines. I didn't see much of a difference in anyway. I gave it a 2 out of 5.

8. Lorac Porefection Mattifying Primer ($32 at Ulta and Sephora?). I just finished this one. Again it's a clear silicone primer. I think it's ok. It makes my pores look better and keeps my skin matte a little longer but I think there is better out there. I gave it 3 out of 5.

9. Urban Decay Naked Beauty Balm ($34 at Sephora and Ulta). Obviously we have read about bb creams and all they claim to do. I do think this makes your skin look really nice and I seen some improvement over time. I think it makes my foundation look nicer but it doesn't necessary increase the longevity. The fact that it improves your skin over time is a good bonus though. I give this 4 out of 5.

10. Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12 Hour Primer ($34 at Ulta and Sephora). See upcoming review! This stuff is so good it needs its own review(:

I wish I had pictures to go with to show what all the primers look like but this is over my entire time of using makeup. I hope you guys liked these little reviews. Thank you for reading!

Beauty Haul!

Hi! Before I say too much more I cheated! I bought way more than my 5 allowed Project Pan items but I really needed to do some retail therapy. So yes next update I will mention this and hopefully the month after I won't cheat. Let's go ahead and get into it because I got some exciting stuff.

I tried not to go crazy even though I almost purchased 2 more foundations. I already have 7 in collection right now so why would I need 2 more?!? Luckily I talked myself out of it until I use up more of my collection. Starting with Ulta, I did give into some more skincare stuff. As you guys know I've been trying lots of skincare stuff trying to find some new favorites. So I bought this set to try some of the Pur Minerals line. It comes with a Cleanser, Hydrating Mist, Soak It Up Moisturizer, and the Dirty Girl Mask. Watch for some reviews on this stuff! Next I plan on trying some Benefit Skincare.

I've been incredibly obsessed with brows lately even though mine have looked less than spectacular lately. I really wanted some thing I could fill in my brows quickly for when I'm in a hurry. I decided to get this Benefit Gimme Brow. I got it in the Medium/Deep shade. Also watch for a review on this(:

Next I needed a setting powder that would be light because check out my review for my NYX Stay Not Flat Foundation. It can be cakey so I wanted something lighter. I decided to try this with hopes it would be better.

I needed a new pencil sharpener.

I had plans to get the Anastasia Dip Brow. I currently have a NYX Angled Liner brush but I wanted another brush for brow stuff. I got the Japonesque Brow Definer.

I also got the Anastasia Pro Wax Kit. I did like the Nads Brow Wax Pen but I really wanted something a little easier to use. I need to buy my own wax pot and wax.

I've been on the hunt for a perfect bright pink. I thought about getting MAC Candy Yum Yum but decided to find a dupe. I got NYX Hot Pink. This maybe similar or exact to the NYX Black Label lipstick in Hot Pink.

Since Maybelline is (almost) always buy one get one 50% off I decided to get the Age Rewind Concealer in Light. I like the Brightener but I think it's a little too pink.

For the other 50% I purchased the Maybelline Vivids in Fire Red. I was looking for another red because I currently own MAC Russian Red and I wanted something not so blue toned. This some how seems more wearable.

I also made an exchange. I found my receipt and took back my Maybelline Clean Express Eye Makeup Remover. I bought the 2 packs of the Neutrogena Makeup Removing Wipes. One pack is hydrating and one is the night calming.

I also bought a full sized Tarte Primer Treatment. I bought a little one in Light but it was too dark so I exchanged it for Fair but a full sized one. Definitely have a review on this coming up.

Next my local Ulta just started caring Pacifica. I have smelled the blood orange before and loved it. I needed a new hand cream so this was a must purchase for me(:

Lastly I got the last little Hempz lotion in Fresh Coconut and Watermelon. This smells amazing!

Next at Sephora I bought some things Ulta doesn't carry or didn't have in stock. So let's start with my main reason for going to Sephora. I searched for this thing at 2 Ultas and then finally found it at Sephora. My work and the other Ulta weren't getting in stock until MAY! I was not waiting that long after I heard the hype about this. It is the infamous Anastasia Dipbrow in Chocolate. Really excited to try this!

Next I got some Kat Von D blush. I knew from the start I wanted the shade Heartagram. Did I mention Kat Von D seriously has the best packaging? It's always so pretty.

I also decided to redeem some points and get some free stuff. First I got this Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara.

Next I got the new Urban Decay Naked Gloss. This is in the color Lovechild. This thing is ridiculously small.

The last thing I redeemed my points for was this Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pure Primer.

They also gave me a free sample of Sephora foundation.

Next at Cosmoprof I got some much needed hairspray. I purchased the Goldwell Big Finish.

And that is it! Look for reviews on a lot of this stuff. Next month I think will be a better month and I won't cheat lol. I just needed to get this out of my system I think lol. What are some new exciting products you are trying out? Thank you for reading!
